We could have easily painted the paneling and call it good, but it would be much more difficult to redo the whole room once we were living here, so I figured I'd do it right the first time. Even if it takes a little longer.
What I've done so far:
Remove drop ceiling
Remove paneling
Remove most of the wallpaper
Replaster upper portion of wall
Reuse paneling as wainscotting and install on lower half of wall
Start preparations for new lighting
